Introduction
In February 2011 the Government was seeking to support a small number of Vanguard Authorities to work with the Communities and Local Government (CLG) to test the preparation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan under the current legal and policy framework ahead of the new provisions for Neighbourhood Planning outlined in the Localism Bill.

Ercall Magna Parish Council agreed to work with Telford & Wrekin Council and submit a bid to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Ercall Magna.
At the end of May 2011 CLG confirmed that our application had been successful.
This is a great opportunity for the whole parish, including the areas of Cold Hatton, Cotwall, Ellerdine, Ellerdine Heath, High Ercall, Moortown, Osbaston, Poynton, Poynton Green, Roden, Rowton, Shirlowe and Walton to get involved. If we are to succeed we will need the engagement from all sections of the full community.
